Preview: North Shelby vs. Chilhowee/Leeton
Chilhowee/Leeton will challenge North Shelby on the road at Homecoming at 7:00 PM on Friday. Chilhowee/Leeton are limping into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-62, which was the final score in Chilhowee/Leeton's tilt against North Andrew last Friday. Chilhowee/Leeton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-46.
Meanwhile, North Shelby put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They took the game and then some with a 42-2 win over South Nodaway/Jefferson. With North Shelby ahead 22-2 at the half, the match was all but over already.
North Shelby's victory lifted them to 4-1 while Chilhowee/Leeton's defeat dropped them down to 0-5. In their victory, North Shelby relied heavily on senior Mason Uhlmeyer, who rushed for 184 yards and 3 touchdowns. Chilhowee/Leeton will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
