Softball Recap: New Caney Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

New Caney had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Caney Creek Panthers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

New Caney pushed their record up to 13-6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Caney Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Coming up, New Caney will head out to take on Willis at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Willis' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so New Caney's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Caney Creek, they will square off against College Park at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. College Park will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Caney Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
