Grundy County was the 51-43 winner over Sequatchie County when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Grundy County Yellowjackets took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sequatchie County Indians. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Beckham McKendrick continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sequatchie County, going 9 for 21 on his way to 26 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Terry, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards.

Grundy County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Sequatchie County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Grundy County will venture away from home to square off against Cannon County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequatchie County, they will welcome Brainerd at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
