Kyle May Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Liberty Hill's Kyle May, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday May rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 56 yards.
The win was the fifth in a row for Liberty Hill, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. May and Liberty Hill will challenge Pflugerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Bryce Muchaw Leads Liberty Hill over Elgin
Liberty Hill was led to victory by Bryce Muchaw, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Muchaw rushed for 276 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (121.5) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 89 yards.
For the year, Muchaw has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 121.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging three rushing yards per game.

Weston Nielsen Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Weston Nielsen produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bastrop to the win on Friday. Nielsen threw for 375 yards and six touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.3 passing touchdowns per game.
The win (which was Bastrop's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Nielsen and Bastrop will head out on the road to square off against Navarro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Taylor Made His Presence Known in Pflugerville's 52-14 Victory
Cole Taylor was a major factor in Pflugerville's win over McCallum on Thursday. McCallum had no answer to Taylor as he threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
Pflugerville pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Taylor and Pflugerville will take on Liberty Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Zaire Nuells Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Zaire Nuells posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Elgin over Liberty Hill on Friday. Nuells rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 119 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats dukes it out withCrockett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
