After a string of eight wins, Midlothian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The match marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

Midlothian's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 12-7. As for Red Oak, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Midlothian has already played their next contest, an 8-2 loss against Burleson on the 5th. As for Red Oak, they will welcome Ennis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 3.9, the Lions 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
