Baseball Recap: Ash Grove Has No Trouble Against Jasper

Jasper typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Ash Grove proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Eagles. The Pirates not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 12-2).

Kyler Reece made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Messley, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Ash Grove is undefeated when Messley posts two or more runs, but 6-10-1 otherwise.
