Softball Recap: Plano Reapers vs. Serena Huskers
Plano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to the Serena Huskers. If the Reapers were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Huskers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Cami Nunez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Plano's loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Serena, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Plano will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harvard at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Serena, they will head out to challenge Seneca at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskers will need to watch out since the Fighting Irish have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
