Oakville's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rockwood Summit Falcons 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Oakville was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (108-103), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-22, 19-25, 27-25, 15-11.

Izzie Rysanek paced Oakville's offense, picking up 17 kills. Rysanek got some help from Simona Kraft and her 37 assists. Kraft was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Oakville's victory bumped their record up to 12-13-1. As for Rockwood Summit, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Oakville and Rockwood Summit should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 68th) will meet Fox (ranked 318th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rockwood Summit will face off against Owensville at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (38 vs. 179).
