Softball Recap: Ellensburg Takes a Loss

Ellensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 10-6 to North Mason.

Ellensburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Ayling, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple was Ayling's first of the season. Another was Emerson Morrill, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Ellensburg suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 7-5-1. As for North Mason, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

While Ellensburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
