Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Mott-Regent's Winning Streak

If Mott-Regent was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hettinger/Scranton on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildfire took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lemmon Cowboys on Thursday. The Wildfire were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 18-25, 25-11.

Mott-Regent moved to 15-6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Lemmon, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mott-Regent will welcome Standing Rock at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lemmon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame] at 7:00 p.m.
