Basketball Game Preview: Oberlin The Phoenix vs. Buckeye Bucks

Oberlin is 0-3 against Buckeye since January of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Oberlin The Phoenix will be playing in front of their home fans against the Buckeye Bucks at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Oberlin is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Keystone and fell 63-32. The The Phoenix were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-11.

Meanwhile, Buckeye was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Lakewood, falling 61-37. The Bucks were down 49-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Oberlin's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Buckeye, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Oberlin was taken down by Buckeye 81-39 in their previous meeting back in January of 2019. Can Oberlin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
