Basketball Game Preview: St. Teresa Bulldogs vs. Clinton Maroons

The St. Teresa Bulldogs will take on the Clinton Maroons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Teresa will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

St. Teresa will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Tuscola, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. St. Teresa skirted past Tuscola 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since January 11th.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Clinton on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Cerro Gordo/Bement out of the water with a 66-29 final score. The Maroons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 24 points or more this season.

St. Teresa's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.
