Football Recap: Littleton Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Littleton challenged Holy Family on Thursday. The Lions had to suffer through a 67-0 loss at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Tigers are ranked 35th).

Littleton's defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Holy Family, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Littleton will challenge Standley Lake at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The Lions will be up against the Gators' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Holy Family, they will square off against Kennedy at 11:00 a.m. on the 18th.
