Baseball Recap: Beaver Local Find Success

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Beaver Local and David Anderson, and Beaver Local kept the tradition alive. The Beavers walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Blue Devils on Wednesday. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Matt Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhett Boyd, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Beaver Local's record now sits at 5-15. As for David Anderson, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-8.

The Beavers are facing the Potters at the right time seeing as the Potters are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for David Anderson, they will host Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.47 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
