Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Windsor's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Windsor won the last time they faced Greeley West, and John Backhaus did his part to make sure it happened again. The Windsor Wizards claimed a resounding 62-21 victory over the Greeley West Spartans thanks in part to Backhaus, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 18 points and eight boards. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Camden Smith was another key player, putting up eight points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Windsor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 31.5% in those games and 30.3% outside of them. As for Greeley West, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor will venture away from home to challenge Fossil Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Windsor's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches. As for Greeley West, they will head out to face off against Rocky Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
