Basketball Game Preview: Keith Bears vs. Faith Academy Rams

The Keith Bears will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Faith Academy Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keith is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season.

Keith took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They snuck past Tuscaloosa County with a 58-54 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Wildcats are ranked 93rd).

Keith's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Titus Lanier, who posted 26 points and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lanier has scored at least a third of Keith's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Hall, who put up 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Faith Academy didn't have too much trouble with Spain Park on Friday as they won 49-32.

Keith's record is now 5-8. As for Faith Academy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
