Soccer Game Preview: Mathews vs. Middlesex

Mathews is 2-8 against Middlesex since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Blue Devils will host the Chargers at 7:30 p.m.

Mathews managed to keep up with West Point until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Blue Devils lost 4-0 to the Pointers.

Meanwhile, Middlesex's contest on Wednesday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against King & Queen Central as they made off with a 4-1 win. Considering Middlesex have won three matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit King & Queen Central with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Wyatt St. Louis (2), Grant Walden, and Kai Evans.

Middlesex's victory bumped their record up to 5-2-2. As for Mathews, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-1.
