Basketball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

After soaring to 64 points the game before, Skyline was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Casteel Colts and fell 61-19. The contest marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, don't look at Timmy Bancroft. Despite the final result, he posted no points and 20 steals. Those 20 steals gave Bancroft a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Skyline and nudges their season record down to 5-17. As for Casteel, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-27 defeat against Mesa on the 7th. As for Casteel, they will venture away from home to challenge Basha at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Basha knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 24 games -- so hopefully Casteel likes a good challenge.
