Softball Recap: San Marino Comes Up Short

San Marino lost against La Canada back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. San Marino fell 9-4 to La Canada. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kayla Giddings was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarah Esbenshade, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

San Marino's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for La Canada, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Marino will venture away from home to take on Corona at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Canada, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Temple City at 3:30 p.m. on April 8.
