Baseball Game Preview: Suffern Mounties vs. John Jay Patriots

For the second straight game, Suffern will face off against John Jay. The Mounties will venture away from home to face off against the Patriots at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Suffern's offense. They came up short against John Jay on Tuesday, falling 7-0. The Mounties have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For John Jay's part, they got a great performance from Landon Seipp as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Jendras, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Ayden Vitale also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The victory keeps John Jay at an undefeated 5-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.4 runs this season. As for Suffern, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
