Baseball Recap: Arthur-Okaw Christian Comes Up Short

Arthur-Okaw Christian lost against Casey-Westfield back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Conquering Riders fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-6.

Brock Helmuth made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season. Kedrick Chupp was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Casey-Westfield, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Arthur-Okaw Christian will venture away from home to face off against Pana at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Casey-Westfield, they will host Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
