Softball Recap: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. Holy Names Academy
Eastside Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Holy Names Academy. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to Holy Names Academy from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Eastside Catholic got a big performance out of Hadlie Delucchi, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Crawford, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Eastside Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Holy Names Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eastside Catholic is set to challenge their familiar foe Seattle Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Holy Names Academy will square off against rival Ingraham at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
