Basketball Recap: Bishop Carroll Takes a Loss

Bishop Carroll lost against Greater Johnstown back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bishop Carroll Huskies took a blow against the Greater Johnstown Trojans, falling 52-16. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Trojans are ranked ninth).

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jace Casses, who posted five points. Casses is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Bishop Carroll dropped their record down to 7-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Greater Johnstown, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Carroll will welcome North Star at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. North Star is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season. As for Greater Johnstown, they will face off against Hollidaysburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hollidaysburg will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Greater Johnstown surely won't give up without a fight.
