            Volleyball Recap: Sauk Prairie Eagles vs. Waunakee Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Sauk Prairie faced Waunakee in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Warriors by a score of  3-2. The Eagles were not able to make up for their  loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting  back in October of 2024.
 Sauk Prairie wouldn't go down easily and took Waunakee into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-16, 20-25,  15-12.
 Mallory Hartwig paced Sauk Prairie's offense, picking up 30 kills. Hartwig got some help from  Alaina Kraemer and her 24 assists. Kraemer was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with five aces.
  Kendall Scadden was a one-woman wrecking crew For Waunakee. as she  had 20  digs and four assists. That's the most  assists  Scadden has posted  over her last eight  matches.
Sauk Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 25-5. As for Waunakee, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-7 record  this season.
 Sauk Prairie will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McFarland at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 25th. Waunakee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
