After a string of five wins, Lebanon's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Cookeville Cavaliers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lebanon sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 16-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12.

Cookeville had a senior duo take command as Chloe Sexton had 20 digs and five assists and Katie Clark had 15 digs. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Sexton.

Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Cookeville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6.

Lebanon has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Siegel on the 19th. As for Cookeville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Nolensville on the 19th.
