Recap: Christian Learning Center Mustangs vs. Plaza Heights Christian Academy
The Christian Learning Center Mustangs put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Plaza Heights Christian Academy as Christian Learning Center made off with a 55-33 win. The result was nothing new for Christian Learning Center, who have now won seven matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Rylie Allen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Bean, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds.
Several Plaza Heights Christian Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reece Cornine, who scored nine points along with three steals. Cornine scored a full 27.3% of Plaza Heights Christian Academy's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Berry, who scored five points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Christian Learning Center pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Clinton Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will host Clinton Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024, while Christian Learning Center will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 15, 2024.
