Volleyball Recap: Animo South Los Angeles Takes Down Community Charter in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Animo South Los Angeles had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Community Charter Titans by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Prince Amir Kuumba paced Animo South Los Angeles' offense, picking up 14 kills. Kuumba got some help from Jonathan Alas and his 27 assists. Finally, Colin Tillman kept Animo South Los Angeles' defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Animo South Los Angeles' win bumped their record up to 14-15. As for Community Charter, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Looking ahead, Animo South Los Angeles will take on Arleta at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Community Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
