Baseball Recap: Landrum Victorious

Landrum has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers 12-11. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 9-8 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Landrum and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Blue Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landrum will host Woodruff at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodruff will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Landrum surely won't give up without a fight. As for Blue Ridge, they will be playing at home against Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
