It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but University ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lake Mary Rams, sneaking past 7-6. Seven seems to be a good number for the Titans as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Mia Fisher, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Nina Rios-Cruz, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

University has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Lake Mary, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Looking ahead, University will take on Merritt Island in a tournament on Thursday. As for Lake Mary, they will host Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Silverhawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
