Volleyball Recap: Marian Extends Winning Streak to Five

Marian had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

Marian was led to victory by Ashlyn Pelon and Allie Davison. Pelon had five digs and two aces, while Davison had four digs and four aces. Davison has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 27 times she's played.

Marian's win bumped their record up to 39-4. As for Grosse Pointe South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15-2 record this season.
