Baseball Game Preview: Maricopa Rams vs. Mesa Jackrabbits

The Maricopa Rams will take on the Mesa Jackrabbits at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Maricopa's tournament run continued when they took on ALA - Queen Creek on Tuesday. Maricopa came up short against ALA - Queen Creek, falling 12-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maricopa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Varela, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Varela's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to McClintock.

Maricopa's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Maricopa skirted past Mesa 6-5 when the teams last played last Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maricopa since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
