Volleyball Recap: Kailua Wins Going Away Against Mckinley

Kailua made up a huge gap compared to their last game against McKinley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Kailua was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over McKinley on Wednesday. For the Surfriders, this counts as revenge for the 25-21 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

While Kailua won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-19.

Kailua's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for McKinley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Kailua will take on rival Kalaheo at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, McKinley is set to square off against their familiar foe Roosevelt at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
