While Pigeon Forge has struggled on the road with four straight losses  dating back to last season, that wasn't the case  on Friday thanks to  Ayden Hood. Everything went the Tigers' way against the Cocke County Fighting Cocks as they made off with  a  59-33 win for which the team can thank  Hood, who rushed for 461 yards and six  scores while picking up 17.7 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf  during one magnificent 93-yard run.

 Pigeon Forge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Aven Mitchell and  Hood. With that strong performance,  Hood is now averaging an impressive 110.9  rushing yards per game. He got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
 When it comes to explaining why Cocke County lost, don't look at  Daniel Price. Despite the final result, he picked up 58 receiving yards and one  TD, and also rushed for 48 yards and one  touchdown. That  rushing touchdown was  Price's first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Eli Roberts, who rushed for 54 yards and one  score.
Pigeon Forge's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Cocke County,  they are  on  an  11-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 Pigeon Forge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  25-18  win against Chuckey-Doak on the 24th. As for Cocke County, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  44-30  defeat against Morristown-Hamblen West on the 24th.
