Lakes had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They snuck past the River Ridge Hawks with a 69-65 victory. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Hawks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 77-70 defeat.

River Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Dominique Harper and Ryzen Nunez. Harper dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while Nunez went 9 for 14 en route to 20 points. Harper has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played.

Lakes' win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for River Ridge, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

Lakes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-66 victory against Timberline on the 27th. River Ridge has also already played their next contest, a 53-49 win against Peninsula on the 27th.
