Tolono Unity had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They blew past the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers 9-2. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.
 Emmerson Bailey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those  two  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Brayden Henry and  Tre Hoggard did most of the damage at the plate:  Henry  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Hoggard  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double. That  double was  Hoggard's first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Nolan Remole, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Tolono Unity  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters  in three consecutive  matches.
Tolono Unity's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-5. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda,  with the  defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-5.
