Recap: Horse Creek Academy Stallions vs. Batesburg-Leesville Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fox Creek, the Horse Creek Academy Stallions were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They managed a 52-48 victory over Batesburg-Leesville. For Horse Creek Academy, this counts as revenge for the 71-48 loss Batesburg-Leesville walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 5th.

Horse Creek Academy found their leader in underclassman Kingston Hightower, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Gary Abraham, who scored nine points.

Despite the defeat, Batesburg-Leesville saw an underclassman step up: Ta'Maj Gilliam scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jr Stewart, who scored 12 points.

Horse Creek Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
