Whitmire scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 71-61 to the Thornwell Saints. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayshaun Schumpert, who went 8 of 18 en route to 20 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braylen Sartor, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Whitmire is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12. As for Thornwell, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.

Whitmire has already played their next game (against McCormick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Thornwell will welcome Greenwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greenwood Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 184 points over their last three matches.
