Volleyball Game Preview: Atlantic Christian Sharks vs. King's Academy Lions

Atlantic Christian hasn't had much luck against King's Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Sharks are taking a road trip to face off against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. Atlantic Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Atlantic Christian had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Somerset Academy - Canyons on Thursday. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars.

Atlantic Christian never let Somerset Academy - Canyons on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.

Meanwhile, King's Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors.

King's Academy was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-14, 25-7, 25-10.

Atlantic Christian pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for King's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

Atlantic Christian suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to King's Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can the Sharks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
