Volleyball Recap: Sergio Salazar and Kalvin Arcedera Secure Win for Sweetwater

Sweetwater entered their tilt with Steele Canyon on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cougars.

Leading Sweetwater to victory were Kalvin Arcedera and Sergio Salazar. Arcedera had 14 digs and two aces, while Salazar had 12 digs and two blocks. Salazar is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season.

Sweetwater's victory bumped their record up to 27-10. As for Steele Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweetwater will take on Mar Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Steele Canyon, they will head out to square off against Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
