Basketball Recap: Patriot Comes Up Short

After flying high against Osbourn Park last Tuesday, Patriot came back down to earth. The Patriot Pioneers took a 78-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gainesville Cardinals. The Pioneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 65-59.

Patriot's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 17-5. As for Gainesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Patriot nor Gainesville have any future games scheduled.
