Football Recap: Maryvale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Maryvale's offense. They were dealt a 51-0 defeat at the hands of the Eastmark Firebirds on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Firebirds are ranked 41st).

Eastmark's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maximo Cano, who picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave Cano a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two). Dayne Silver was another key signal caller, throwing for 184 yards and three touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes.

Maryvale is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Eastmark, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Maryvale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 58-0 loss against Combs on the 26th. As for Eastmark, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 48-0 win against Washington on the 26th.
