Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Hills Victorious

Bloomfield Hills lost to Rochester back in March, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Black Hawks had just enough and edged out the Falcons 5-3. That's two games straight that the Black Hawks have won by exactly two runs.

Bloomfield Hills got a great performance from Rishaan H as he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave H a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eddie H, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Bloomfield Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rochester only posted a batting average of .115.

The victory made it two in a row for Bloomfield Hills and bumps their season record up to 9-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Rochester, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomfield Hills will venture away from home to square off against Troy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rochester, they will head out to face off against Seaholm/Groves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
