            Softball Preview: Lawrence County Wildcats vs. Hardin County Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            The Lawrence County Wildcats will venture away from home to  take on the Hardin County Tigers  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Lawrence County will be strutting in after a  victory while Hardin County will be coming in after a  defeat.
On Friday, Lawrence County beat Franklin County 4-1.
 Elizabeth Hagan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side, Lawrence County let  Gisselle Maldonado and  Laney Kate King run wild. Maldonado  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double, while  King  went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases and one  run. Those  three  stolen bases gave  King a new career-high.  Madi Dollar was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers  on Wednesday. Hardin County came up short against  Lexington, falling  14-2. Hardin County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Lawrence County's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-9. As for Hardin County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Lawrence County beat Hardin County 11-6  when the teams last played  back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
