Basketball Game Preview: Central Kitsap Cougars vs. North Thurston Rams

Central Kitsap hasn't had much luck against North Thurston recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Central Kitsap Cougars will head out to take on the North Thurston Rams at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Central Kitsap was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-33 to River Ridge. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, North Thurston waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They breezed by the Lancers to the tune of 67-24. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

North Thurston's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Central Kitsap, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Central Kitsap was taken down by North Thurston 60-23 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Central Kitsap avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
