Recap: Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley vs. Brockway Rovers

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 27-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brockway on Friday. Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brockway apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.

Brody Dittman threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Trey Fleming was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Max Gallagher rushed for 51 yards.

Brockway found their leader in underclassman Caleb Daugherty, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Brockway also got a significant boost from Jendy Cuello, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley and nudges their season record down to 5-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Brockway, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brockway will take on Port Allegany at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Port Allegany is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
