Given Tompkins' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Memorial are ranked 138th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Fort Bend Austin and bumps their season record up to 11-7-3. As for Tompkins, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2-1.
