Baseball Game Preview: New Brockton Gamecocks vs. Bullock County Hornets

The New Brockton Gamecocks will venture away from home to face off against the Bullock County Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither New Brockton nor Bullock County posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

New Brockton came up short against Houston Academy on Monday, falling 8-2. The Gamecocks have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

New Brockton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Hand, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Bullock County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-0 to Pike County.

Bullock County's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for New Brockton, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

New Brockton took their victory against Bullock County in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 18-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Brockton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
