Football Recap: Montevallo Takes a Loss

Montevallo's last matchup with Vincent could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Bulldogs took a blow against the Yellow Jackets, falling 47-19. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row.

Vincent's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Roberts, who rushed for 125 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Roberts a new career-high. Landon Archer also helped with two scores in total.

Montevallo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Vincent, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Montevallo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vincent, they will be playing at home against Falkville at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
