Vaughn really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 72 yards.
 Meanwhile, Ferndale entered their tilt with Arcata on Saturday with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They secured  a  27-21 W over the Tigers.
 Ferndale's victory was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points per game. As for Vallejo, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record  this season.
