Softball Recap: Mohawk Area Victorious

Mohawk Area's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Sharpsville Blue Devils 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since April 7th.

Mohawk Area let Addy Moskal and Alivia Hare run wild. Moskal went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Hare went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Pezzuolo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mohawk Area hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sharpsville struck out eight times.

The win snapped Mohawk Area's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-6 record. As for Sharpsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Mohawk Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sharpsville, they are taking a road trip to take on Wilmington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Greyhounds have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
